Cookies are a big hit in my house. Whether it is having a couple as a midnight snack after the kids go to bed or serving them for dessert after dinner, cookies never fail to bring a smile to the lips. I have included some of my favorite cookie recipes in this cookbook, so I hope you enjoy baking and eating them as much as I have. One rule of thumb I have always used when baking cookies or any baked good is to check a few minutes before the end of the time that is given to make sure I am not overcooking. Everyone's oven is different, and I have found by some sad experiences that my oven cooks faster than some recipes allow. I have had my heart broken many times because of burnt edges or rock-hard dough that was overcooked.
