Heart Gems is an expression of my soul. The book cover is literally a picture of my soul at a very transformative time in my life. These poems are from my cuticles to your ears. From my liver to your brain. For those of you western psychology inclined it may seem useful to know I was diagnosed with bipolar at the the time. I currently have the diagnosis of PTSD with psychotic features. For those who that is less important for I was rediscovering my love of words and love of feeling. These were a part of an emotional awakening from a long sad slumber. They are all meant to be read aloud and were inspired by open mics in North Adams Massachusetts. Thank you to everyone who encouraged and inspired me rather than questioning my sanity when trying to be creative. You are my lovelies. There is more where this comes from. Heart Gems is just a middle point.
