At this decisive moment in earth and human history we have great need for deep thought and reflection in search of a new humanism that might enable us to find ourselves anew. Of Humankindness: Beyond the Field's Edge proposes that one way forward lies in returning to a humankindness that abides even if we have neglected it or sought to cover it over. Embracing and attending to the nakedness, fragility, and dependence of the human condition, Of Humankindness sets in relief various forms of care-technological and extra-technological-through which a better world might be brought forth and sustained.
