Addicts often claim that they hate their addiction. Yet, they repeatedly return to those substances and actions that they claim to hate. This volume probes and challenges the idea that addicts hate their addiction. It distinguishes between the addiction and the consequences of addiction. The reader is asked to carefully evaluate, based on what he does, whether he loves or hates his addiction.
