John is the one who received the revelation of Jesus Christ on the island of Patmos. In the message he receives three times are present: the past, the present and the future. Forces opposed to Christ are identified as: Dragon, the Beast and the False Prophet. These three powers are active on earth in the midst of men. The book includes in its development four series of seven: Seven Churches, Seven Seals, Seven Trumpets and Seven Flutes. These four series are very elaborate. But, the book is built around a system of seven that we care to understand. A last-minute message is inserted for us: (1). Seven letters to (2). seven churches (1-3); (3). Seven seals to (4). Seven trumpets (4-11); (5). Seven vials (15, 16); (6). Seven candlesticks (12, 20); (7). Seven stars (1:16, 20); (8). Seven angels (1:20); (9). Seven spirits (1: 4); (10). A lamb with seven horns and (11). Seven eyes (5: 6); (12). Seven lamps (4: 5); (13). Seven thunders (10: 3, 4); (14). A red dragon with seven heads and; (15). Seven crowns (12: 1); (16). Seven mountains (17: 9); (17). Seven kings (17:10). The number seven is quite conspicuous throughout the Bible. The Sabbath is the seven day. The Levitical system of the Old Testament was built on a cycle of sevens. Let's recapitulate this system: (1). Every seventh year, a Sabbatical year; (2). Every seventh sabbath was followed by a jubilee year; (3). Every seventh month was especially holy, having three feasts; (4). There were seven weeks between Passover and Pentecost; (5). Passover feast lasted seven days; (6). At Passover fourteen lambs (twice seven), were offered everyday; (6). At tabernacles fourteen lambs (twice seven), daily, and seventy bullocks; (7). Pentecost seven lambs were offered. Jericho felt with seven trumpets for seven days, marched around the walls blowing the trumpets seven times on the seven day (Joshua 6: 1-27). Naaman dipped in the Jordan seven times (2Kings 5: 1-14). The Bible begins with a book of sevens about the ultimate destiny of creation. Seven is the favorite letter in God's alphabet. There is seven days in a week. Seven notes in music. Seven colors in the rainbow. It is often used in the same way as it is, and it must have the same significance. Symbolically, it is thought to stand for completeness, a unit, fullness, and totality. The book of Revelation contains seven blessed's, which are called seven beatitudes. Whether this was of design, or just so happened, we do not know.1. Blessed is he that reads this prophecy (1: 1-3).2. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord (14:14).3. Blessed is he that watches for the Lord coming (16:15).4. Blessed are those bidden to Lamb's marriage supper (19: 9).5. Blessed is he who has part in the first resurrection (20. 6).6. Blessed is he that keeps the words of this book (22. 7)7. Blessed are they washing their robes (22.14). Moreover, we must count through the different developments of this book on a very powerful symbolism: (a). Colors; (B). Numbers; (C). Animal figures, etc. Some things are literal and clearly clear, others more difficult to understand, even seeming somewhat obscure. The commissioning angel, sent from heaven to Jean, intervenes to explain some of them. Then John was ordered to write these revelations and send them to the churches. The understanding of this book requires a solid knowledge of the scriptures. Revelation is a complete book. Its interpretation requires knowledge in: geography, mathematics, history, news, general culture, etc. It is with all these considerations that we have had to present this overture. We invite you to scrutinize him seriously to take advantage of his teachings, practice them and share the content to all your loved ones, because a treasure, if not the greatest, is hidden inside. Happy reading and good luck!THE LORD WILL TAKE IT IN ACCOUNT!
