Vocabulary Workout for the SSAT/ISEE is intended to help students build a vocabulary that will help them succeed on the SSAT and/or ISEE exam (with a focus on upper level exams, though the book is also suitable for advanced middle level students). The book is composed of strategically organized lessons to help students both learn words and practice using them in written exercises. Ideally this book should be used in tandem with reading other scholarly and intellectual materials to help nurture vocabulary growth. It is the first in a two-volume series (Note: one can purchase both volumes separately or a single complete edition that combines both volumes).
