Five-year-old Barrett was adopted from foster care, and is now the middle child in a family with six children who have special needs. That means he has plenty of kids to play with, but he sometimes feels lost in the shuffle. In this book for any kid who sometimes feels overlooked, Barrett shares both his frustrations, and his realization that he is truly loved and holds a unique place in his family. The book also helps familiarize children with a variety of disabilities and other special needs, including cerebral palsy, g-tube, autism, and cochlear implants.
