.. The hissing surf, the roaring wind... Gentle, I wonder how relentless waves... And yet despite my turbulent relationship with that sea it is my constant companion. .. A storm that tore me from my family and cast me onto the shore where I didn't belong ... But I've been told the sea, is very cold you see, So Nana views it with a cup of tea ... As for me, the cloak is well fastened, to quell any emotions, trying to drown me, in the devil's quicksand ... The East Anglian Festival of Culture held a literary competition this year, and has produced this compilation of winning and commended entries, inspired by a View of the Sea. This is another successful step in the literary journey where writers have used their creative skills to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK.
