Research Prompts are a set of challenges that use research tasks such as a combination of open-ended questions, closed-ended problems, and cognition-sparking scenarios to guide students through various levels of thinking based on Bloom's Taxonomy. This book addresses two problems. The first problem is most modern students have access to the majority of closed-ended questions through internet resources; while, the second problem is many students depend heavily on the search capabilities of search engines versus working in tandem with their own questioning abilities. Through research prompts, students can nurture their creative problem solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and metacognitive capabilities.
