The primary focus of the book is to guide the reader towards a career in Residential Real Estate Appraising. The author, has over 30 years of Residential Real Estate Appraisal experience as an Independent Fee Appraiser. The author's goal is to present enough information and personal insight into the profession that will allow the reader to make a well- informed decision on whether to pursue a career as a Certified Real Estate Appraiser in the United States. It is the author's opinion, based on maintaining a home office practice for most of her career that; the real estate appraisal profession offers an excellent opportunity for those seeking to become their own boss, and earn a lucrative source of income while working from a home environment either full or part-time. The author has found the profession to be extremely suited to a home-based operation, without diminishing the highest standards of professional practice, quality of work, and the professionalism expected of the modern real estate appraiser. It is generally agreed that there is an imminent Real Estate Appraiser Shortage which will translate into even higher fees for Real Estate Appraisers in the future. This book is perfect for those who want to pursue what the author feels is "The best home based business in America" "The earth is real estate and so long as it exists there will be a need for a Real Estate Appraiser".
