Vision to Reality: a Brief History of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas Gary Younglove 2. izdevums

Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, is an example of how to do things right. From a small development whose residents didn't want to become part of a big city to a small city that has created its own destiny. This book covers the geology and ecology of the area and provides a collection of significant events in the creation of the City as well as throughout its formative years. A model for any community that wants to control its future, Fair Oaks Ranch almost wasn't. But the perseverance and commitment of its leaders and a multitude of volunteers ensured its success. The author served on the first City Council from the beginning of the City and continued in that service for sixteen years. He was personally involved in many of the decisions as this city grew from infancy to maturity. His account of the City's history provides a solid background on what makes Fair Oaks Ranch what it is. It is a compelling story of how a small group of residents sought for and found what many have called a Camelot.
