Contributor Bio:  Currah, Paisley Paisley Currah received a B. A. from Queen's University at Kingston, Canada, and an M. A. and Ph. D. from Cornell University. He teaches at Brooklyn College. He has written widely on the legal status of transgender and gender nonconforming people in the US and co-edited a special issue of Sexuality Research and Social Policy: Journal of NSRC
