Invitation to Service: Stories from Cots
Friends of Cots
Why help people who are homeless? What does it mean to offer service? This collection of interviews with supporters and staff of COTS (the Committee on the Shelterless) will open your eyes and your heart, and invite you to service. With inspiring stories from a broad spectrum of economic, family, and religious backgrounds, Invitation to Service reveals why people give their precious time to help and what they derive from the experience. About COTS: COTS' award-winning programs help 1,500 homeless children and adults each year. COTS provides food, safe shelter, and housing; helps adults develop steady incomes; trains parents to break the intergenerational cycle of homelessness; and helps people get back under a roof of their own.
