The desert village of Otala is attacked by unknown raiders. This is the first major battle of a young warrior named Hesarius. Although the raiders were successfully repelled, there are some deaths and one abduction, Hesarius's beloved. Hesarius is sent by Zorlac the White Dragon to rescue her. He has never left the Otala desert before and is thrust into a world unknown to him. Along the way he makes friends including Celot; a close friend of his dead father; ElSeveena an elven bardess with eyes for Hesarius, Jasonius; the legendary White Warlock and many others. Hesarius faces many trials and struggles during the quest, most of which not only help him learn his role as a warrior but as a hero too. But he soon learns there is more to this journey. His beloved is more than what she seems. This is more than just her rescue, Hesarius learns this journey is the beginning of a destiny which will change the fate of Ancient Xenar forever.
