The Kids & I is a collection of poems devoted to the marginalized, the misfits and the agitators who can't help but dig beneath the surface of what we see in plain sight. It's an ongoing love letter with rough and dirty margins as much as it is a case of Peter Pan coping with adult dilemmas. The Kids & I belongs to anyone who is part of a group that yearns for acceptance while balancing its own unique code of ethics. Written largely over the course of a year, this poetry volume doesn't necessarily answer life's weightier questions outright, but more so opens itself up to a new world where the reader is called to examine, appreciate and challenge simple everyday things in nature, relationships and world affairs.
