The third book in the SECRET series finds our intrepid detectives, Cass, Max-Ernest, and newcomer Yo-Yoji in yet another puzzling adventure. This time, Pietro and the Terces Society adults have been lured away to Africa on the hunt for the evil Dr. L and Ms. Mauvais, leaving Cass and company to face a real threat all on their own. Cass's mother has been kidnapped by Monsieur Hugo, master chocolatier, master alchemist, and full-fledged member of the Midnight Sun.
