Matthias Heilbronn is one of New York's best and best-known DJ/producers, and an international name in his own right. He's had worldwide house hits, including the massive 'It's Gonna Be Alright' under the name Deep Zone in the mid-90s and more recently "Do It Right" on Pokerflat; scooped a string of awards for his DJing, production and editing; and is one half of M&J with DJ Joeski. He's worked with a veritable who's who, recorded for a string of top house labels such as Defected, Nervous, King Street, NRK and Compost. As a remixer, Matthias has been more in demand then ever, working in recent years on material for the likes of Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan, Musiq Soulchild, Alicia Keys, Maxwell, Beyonce, Solange, Michelle Williams, Donna Summer, Labelle, Kelly Rowland, Johnny Cash, Ultra Nate, Stevie Nicks and Craig David. Taking a change in direction and with summer in mind, electric minds release Matthias's new 12" with two classic house cuts. The A Side "Mercy" is very much a nod to rich history of New York's soulful house productions while "I Don't Know Why" steps things up for the club.
