"Acapulco Gold" takes off where his latest Apersonal release "Fruit Punch" left, summery vibes but with an emotion so deep you can hear the Caribbean dolphins cry, this truly is Trujillo's best work to date. Ron Basejam from Crazy P transforms Acapulco Gold to a slower mover with quirky vocals and wonderfully funky Rhodes licks, giving way for a bad ass synth line to complement the remix. "You Keep Me" is a sundrenched disco cut with slow evolving synch work and a massive breakdown, a true Trujillo feel good tune. Newcomers Cosmic Kids had massive success with their Throne of Blood release "Reginald's Groove" and they currently remixed The Rapture and Holy Ghost on DFA - so choosing them to touch You Keep was a natural choice and boy do they deliver. Dirty, dark and extremely groovy are the keywords here, pitching the song a few notches and building a solid ground for a breakdown with arpeggiated synth work.
