Slowburn are two guys from Dublin who recently made there debut via Uzuri in the form of a various artists 12" Here they return for a full four track ep release of there own on Elektrosouls. Four raw deep house cuts that ooze melody and soul. "Magnolia" kicks things off with deep square bass and shuffled snares that give way to detuned pads while teasing synths bubble away below. "Letter Live & Liberty" the second track, an 808 rythim joined buy a haunting lead that builds into deep melodic pads. On the flip comes "Bladerunning" based around deep pads and more 808 beats with cool synth stabs this track is for dark rooms. The record wraps things up with "Medicusa" a very soulful track full of quirky melodies that build and build over nicely crafted drum patterns.
