When the band split, Van began his extremely successful solo career with these recordings, including his worldwide hit 'Brown Eyed Girl' (included here). While several compilations of Van The Man's early material exist, only The Great Van Morrison gives listeners the best value - 49 tracks, including 'Stomp and Scream', 'Blow in Your Nose', 'Here Comes Dumb George', 'Hang on Groovy' and an alternate version of 'Brown Eyed Girl'.
