The core of the band were members of Punk/Pop outfit The Leyton Buzzards but left the Punk sound far behind when they formed this Latin-influenced danceable New Wave band. Blending Salsa, Disco, Swing and Synthpop, Modern Romance had a succession of hits in the UK and Europe, all from their first two albums. The best of those albums plus seven inch and twelve inch mixes are included on this 18 track compilation including 'Everybody Salsa', 'Ay Ay Ay Ay Moosey', 'Cherry Pink & Apple Blossom' and 'Best Years Of Our Lives'.
