Tony Smith is a London-based guitarist who has spent the last six years touring the world with jazz-legend Roy Ayers. 'Loyalty' is a groove-orientated album with soul and blues/rock influences. It is not smooth jazz at all! It features three guest vocalists - exciting soul singer Gary Poole who sings the title track, Sarah Jane Morris (ex-Communards) and award-winning jazz singer Ian Shaw. The musicians include Jason Rebello on keys (Sting and Jeff Beck), Troy Miller and Jerry Brown on drums, Dean Mark (bass), Gary Sanctuary (keys) and many more. On this CD, Tony plays a Stratocaster with a screaming,biting tone and the CD is recorded live in London.
