Bill's sense of adventure never waned throughout his career and this set is another display of the Perkins craft. This hand picked crew includes the supremely talented pianist/arranger Frank Strazzeri, who Bill met back in the 1960s and recorded with in 1984 and 1992. Also on this disc are Clay Jenkins (trumpet), Brian Cuomo (piano), Tom Warrington (bass), Marcus Johnson (bass), Bill Berg (drums) and Roscoe Wright (drums). The four outstanding Strazzeri originals are presented on this album alongside the music of Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, George and Ira Gershwin and Bill Holman among others.
