Though probably more known by the public for his songs which have been performed by other artists (including Eric Clapton's "Cocaine" and Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Call Me The Breeze,"), JJ Cale's unique style has been a huge influence musicians such as Clapton and Mark Knopfler. Along with Leon Russell, Cale founded the Tulsa Sound, a potent combination of blues, country, and rock'n'roll. This fascinating program is a rare and intimate look at this reclusive musical pioneer, recorded at L. A.'s Paradise Studios during a 1979 recording session, with Leon Russell on keyboards.
