Kanye West | Bully
Ye marks a decisive and deeply personal return to the global stage with his new studio album: "BULLY." Released through a partnership with independent record label Gamma, the project represents the artist's first solo studio effort since the "Donda" albums of 2021 and 2022. At the same time, it signals a shift away from the collaborative and polished energy that characterized the "Vultures" era.
Described by Ye as his most "focused" work in years, "BULLY" is a concept album that functions as a sonic self-portrait. With references to the emotional vulnerability of "808s & Heartbreak," this release finds Ye grappling with themes of regret, memories, ego, and faith.
The project first saw the light of day in 2025 as an unfinished short film directed by Ye and edited by Hype Williams, starring his son Saint West. While previous versions of the material were widely reported to feature experimental, AI-generated vocals, the final version will not make use of AI, according to Kanye's team.
