It was focusing on my career that saved me from wallowing deeply in the despair of not finding love, my career goals served as an extremely effective distraction, especially in my mid twenties when I finally quit looking for love and decided to instead direct all my energy at building up my career and getting more qualifications, it paid off, because by age twenty five I was already the youngest partner at Midas attorneys. I am not exaggerating when I say that being career driven, saved me from, even, depression, because I had wanted a romantic relationship so much, I also wanted to have the drama, the ups and downs that I would always hear people talking about. Now I was grown and what I wanted had changed as I grew and evolved, I think it is because as people we evolve and so do our wants and needs, I currently wanted true love, commitment, loyalty, companionship and marriage, but it was just not happening for me, well, until now.
