Let's now take a look at what the earthly Sanctuary symbolized. When the earthly Sanctuary was built during the time of Exodus, what meanings did the people back then find in this Sanctuary? God did not signify any meanings of this Sanctuary when He gave them the order to build it. Why was that? That was probably because God had intended on their gradual understanding through their life experiences, so that these object lessons could tacitly sink into their minds and hearts as they participated in these regular sanctuary rituals. This is what I present to you. Look at it carefully and learn from it. That's what God says. Accordingly, we should first consider what the people back then perceived and understood about the Sanctuary, by standing in their place. The doctrines should come first; then trying to support the meanings of the doctrine in the Bible. This should not be happening at all. First, we should try to stand in their place to see what the sanctuary actually meant to them.
