April of '45 is a play that takes a look at the end of WWII from multiple viewpoints, including the combatants, the families left behind and German civilians. It explores the experience of two American soldiers, Karl and Vince, struggling to survive the last days of the war in Europe. Danger is everywhere. They encounter pockets of resistance even as Germany is overrun and subdued by Allied forces. They discover that not everything is as "black and white, good vs. evil" as it first appears. Their bond together is tested to the limit since there is no guarantee they will live to make it home . . .
