Just an unbelievable story about one man's life growing up to retirement from the U. S. Army as a Colonel in the Special Forces and operations with the CIA.

His personal account of the Belgian Congo during the tumultuous years that Belgium relinquished control over their interest in the Belgian Congo is very insightful and knowledgeable of the circumstances leading to the mayhem of the transfer of government control.

He led three lives in his operations with the Congo leaders, with the American Embassy, and with the United Nations.

His French language skills opened doors that were denied to others, yet he was able to keep all three of his identities separate from each other and those with whom he came into contact.

This is a remarkable story and well-written.
