About the Author - Former Governor Homobono (Bono) A. Adaza of Misamis Oriental, is a prolific writer and author of some books on politics in the Philippines. He currently writes for the Manila Times Publication in Manila and maintains a Facebook account, titled Diliman Way. He finished law at University of the Philippines and became Editor of the famous Philippine Collegian in his student days. In later life, he was active in the opposition ranks against martial law years of President Ferdinand Marcos. He was elected Governor of Mis. Oriental after Marcos period and became adviser to President Cory Aquino. He remains as one of the most outspoken critics of the national government, on his personal encounters with Philippine presidents. Adaza also writes in great detail about his involvements in all the major political events in the Philippines: from the election of President Ferdinand Marcos in 1965, the dark days of martial law, the end of the Marcos dictatorship in 1986, the election of Corazon Aquino as president, the coup plots against her administration, the search for gold in the Philippine embassy grounds in Tokyo, Japan during the Ramos administration, the ouster of President Estrada in EDSA II and the "Garci tapes" scandal in the current Arroyo administration. + + +ooooooPrefaceSome words from Tatay Jobo Elizes, Self-PublisherFirstly, I thank my friend, Homobono A. Adaza, for his permission that I publish his Diliman Way - Book A, a compilation of his writings at facebook, covering Feb. 4, 2018 to Oct, 5, 2019. Writings are timeless and they act as mirrors to history. I publish writings as they remain relevant anytime. I have seen a lot of good writings in the internet, in magazines and newspapers. Many of them need to be published or archived. Some write a lot but never publish them. There are also old books with no more prints available. The solution is to publish/reprint. I do this for free because of the print-books-on-demand (POD) system, for its efficiency, cheaper and faster way to create books online, via self-publishing.
