Ammu R S (Pen name - Ammu Sree) is a Keralite born and living in Thiruvananthapuram. She is currently pursuing her MPhil at Institute of English, Kerala University. Formerly, she served as a Guest lecturer at UIT, Kuravankonam and as an Assistant Professor at National College. An occasional contributor to literary journals and a fledgling translator, she writes to explore her own self. For her poetry is spontaneous, and straight from the heart, a mélange of broken thoughts that harmonizes everyday fantasies, mysteries and realities. Time in Fragments is a collection of 52 poems. Subtitled 'Tangled Thoughts of a Girl', the anthology chronicles the thoughts, experiences, poetic musings and melancholic ramblings of a poetess hailing from the land that gave birth to luminaries in the galaxy of world poetry like Kamala Das, Sugathakumari and Naditha KS. Her poetry amalgamates the revolutionary zeal of Sugathakumari and the brooding romanticism of Nanditha. Poetic reconciliation of dichotomies and paradoxes is a prominent feature of her writing.
