Ernestine is a Mestiza woman half Inca and half Spanish. She was a descendant of a rich family in Ayacucho. Her family has helped the Inca people for generations. As a rebellious group emerges in her hometown, Ernestine and her family find themselves fleeing from danger to different areas in Peru. One destination is Lima, where she is betrayed by the people who she trusted most. Just when Ernestine thinks all hope is lost, she falls in love with German. Both find they have been living parallel lives and share a similar past. This is a story about love, strength, courage, and determination. Each of the characters never stop dreaming.
