All my life I have been influenced and manipulated by other people in a conscious and unconscious way, without always realizing it. Especially in the family, in which I grew up with the presence of the mental disorders PTSD, (open and hidden) narcissism, codependency, gaslighting (cunning manipulation technique of hidden narcissism) and TPS I notice, as HSP, the influence and the manipulation. Now that I am 63 years old and making progress in my therapy, I realize that my second ex-husband from Algeria used cunning manipulation techniques to achieve a marriage of convenience (fake marriage). He considered a residence permit and a passport more important than human contact with me. His behavior turned out to be very similar to the behavior of all my family members. Like many other people, he turned out to be very different from what he seemed. I trusted people who now I no longer trust. As HSS, I don't let myself be influenced and manipulated by other people anymore.
