"What do you want to be when you grow up?" is a common question child is asked, and to which they reply with something they may have seen on TV or heard their parents say. Unfortunately, the conversation often stops there with no detailed mapping of how they can reach this goal. In "Journey," Drew and Leia support each other throughout their education, but it's after receiving a surprising award that they begin to think about their future. Drew and Leia were able to reach their goals because they developed an action plan after conduction research, seeking guidance, and making sure to perform well in school. While there are many lessons one can take away from this book, the most important one is learning how to think through your dreams so that it can become a reality. This book shows young minds nothing is unattainable if you just take that first step.
