Tate Landon has an ability to see the unseen and drift between the real world and dream world. Her parents don't believe she has abilities or that their ancestors practiced witchcraft though they have dark ancestral secrets and their house is haunted. When Tate's childhood boy friend Jon returns home, she is forced to choose between him and her college boyfriend Gordon. It's difficult for Tate to discern who is an ally or enemy in the spiritual war she's in. But Jon and Gordon, though enemies, join forces to help Tate win a war against demons. She visits the island countries her parents' are from and learns about the practices that caused a generational curse in her bloodline. She also learns the difference between acts of witchcraft and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Throughout her journey, Tate is forced to make life-changing decisions in order to save souls and keep her family from spiritual bondage.
