The Great Plague appeared out of nowhere, sweeping around the globe in a matter of months. By the time patient zero was tracked to the Korean Peninsula, it was already too late. In the wake of the infection governments dissolved, infrastructure collapsed and society descended into virtual chaos. In the months following the Big Death the remnants of civilization huddle in tiny enclaves, teetering on the brink of extinction, their days spent in a desperate search for food. Hunted by packs of wild beasts the survivors seek shelter in the dark crawl spaces of crumbling buildings, praying for sunrise when the beasts slink back into their lairs.
