2020, what a year. All around the globe, a new disease took command of the world. Heads of countries sought to run their country and save themselves and constituents from the deadly coronavirus, except in America. The US citizens learned that their leader was a lover of self that showed no compassion for the people, their well-being, or the country. Missed Opportunity #45 delves deep into the American President that fell deeper in hell when a deadly virus entered The United States of America. From February through March 16, 2020, Trump held press conferences that confused Americans. He disagreed with the science and medical professionals. He went with what was in his guts and the hunches he had. On March 17, 2020, Trump's tone changed. Many Americans believed Trump would do his job, listen to the professionals, and rid America of the deadly disease. He did not. On March 18, Trump tweeted he would only utilize the authorities in "a worst-case scenario in the future." There was still time for him to save civilian lives. In May, there were 1,610,000 cases and 95,213 deaths. The public health experts told the President that another wave was coming by fall, he replied, "I don't believe it." The White House and Federal that typically take control did not; Don Trump told states to handle the COVID-19 themselves. Big mistake. In America, on October 4, 2020, there were 7,410,000 cases and 209,000 deaths. The number continued to rise.
