Standing on the deck of a U. S Navy Guided Missile Destroyer, during a Naval gunfire support mission, a young Navy Officer is suddenly reminded of a gypsy fortune teller's prediction for his future. Years later Doug tells the story about a meeting with a pretty girl from a clan of gypsies as a young boy. Her Grandmother tells his fortune. Doug, his brother Forrest and their friends have a series of encounters with a mysterious beast on the Banks of the Barren Fork River near a small town in Tennessee. Wise advice from his Grandparents and an American Indian Chief cannot keep Doug, his brother and their friends from a rendezvous with a scary creature. Doug's fate was already set. Little did he realize that an old .32 caliber Railroad Detective's pistol would be the deciding factor in a final showdown.
