There is no greater feeling than knowing God is there waiting and willing to help when we stumble and fall. Trials and tribulations happen to all, but not all turn to God for rest. Jesus commanded us to look to Him for that rest, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Whatever we might be suffering, we do not have to go through it alone. The Lord God will rescue us from our adversity. All we have to do is ask. If we sincerely open our hearts to Him and want Him in our lives, He will surely not allow us to suffer beyond that which we can bear. The Lord Is Our Refuge explores how Christians can rely on God during difficult times. We do not have to endure affliction alone. Christ Jesus suffered so that we could live. Salvation is ours now. No other comforting thought gives us more hope than that of the day we will rise to our Heavenly Father and attain eternal life.
