This fifty-two-paged book is a passionately written plea and appeal to Americans, in the ravaging era of Donald J. Trump, the President of the United States of America.
It is a short but compelling rhetorical quest to reawaken slumbering America, who has totally veered off course.
This non-American and apolitical writer, seeks to remind America of its global standing within the comity of nations, as the entire world cannot seem to comprehend where America is headed with Trump at the helm.
The palpable divisions in the country have never been so toxic in recent memory.
It is particularly worrying as this President has managed to convince evangelical Christians that he represents the values of our Lord Jesus Christ, our redeemer.
The writer uses some biblical quotes to remind the evangelicals to be wary and not be hoodwinked into looking the other way as their support for Trump threatens to sink America. America doesn't have to be this divided. It is the global beacon of hope and should begin to steer its great ship back in the right direction.
The racial justice reckoning in the past months has equally shown America in a different light. There is hope afterall.
This book also throws light on the need for people of colour to wake up and position themselves to harness the 'American Dream', by developing themselves through education and skills acquisition. What has really become of the great Republican party that stood for social justice and equity for all?
What has happened to the Republican party that helped to bring the evil of slave trade to an end?
A deep-seated intospection is required if America is to reclaim its stake at global affairs.
Above all, America must begin to heal. It is afterall, the 'United States of America' and should not be allowed to become the 'Divided States of America'.
