In the time of COVID-19, win the admissions game by learning what the Dean wants in applicants.



Many colleges are waiving the SAT/ACT requirement for 2020-2021 applicants during the pandemic. However, Admissions will continue to assess the academic abilities of all applicants and scrutinize the subjective elements that comprise the college application.



Moments of crisis can define us. All students are in the same COVID boat. They have no choice but adapt to the challenges created by this pandemic, for better or for worse.



As you will learn in this book, the Dean wants to know how an applicant will contribute to their college community. In the time of COVID, every applicant to an elite college must ask themselves: What did I do during the pandemic? What role did I play as a son or daughter, friend, student, to not only help my family during this perilous time, but my community? The student's action/in-action in their home community can foreshadow whether the student will be an active participant for the greater good of their future college community.



All the more reason why students applying for the freshman class of 2025 must focus on the subjective elements of the application.



My fellow parents, how do we Win the Admissions Game and get our student accepted? Repeat after me: The Dean wants an applicant who is #QUALIFIED and #ENGAGED and #COMPELLING.



The student conveys they are everything the Dean wants and more by compiling a legitimate Extracurricular (EC's) resume that is integrated with the college application essays to shout out a compelling personal story to the Dean.



This book gives a short and sweet analysis of everything the Dean wants in an applicant from the moment the application is submitted, until the application is either accepted or rejected. The goal is to amplify and maximize our qualified applicant's legitimate engagement, to distinguish him or her from the thousands of other students all vying for a first-year seat, by methodically giving the Dean what they want in an applicant.
