A second edition of an autobiographical book of poems in Spanish and English. It covers the author's youth in Cuba, and during the Revolution. Passages of her life as an exile in Spain, US and as world traveler. The work is more about overcoming and becoming. A survival of difficult circumstances such as a neck condition that took her to retire early from her career and after a life changing and difficult neurosurgery repaired her neck, two years later an accident where she suffered a neck fracture having another neck fusion. Yet despite so many other difficulties Ileana have a passion and optimism for life. In her struggle we can all relate and learn from her resiliency, recovery, faith, and joy.
