The LogosLight Topical Bible contains 103,836 entries across 5,328 topics and 20,000 sub-topics. It is based on the Nave's Topical Bible Index with additional entries from the Thompson Chain Reference Bible and the addition of the Strong's Greek and Hebrew numbers to the headwords.

Nave's Topics were originally produced by Orville J. Nave, A. M., D. D., LL. D. while serving as a Chaplain in the United States Army. He referred to this work as "the result of fourteen years of delightful and untiring study of the Word of God." Nave's topics were originally published in the early 1900's.

Frank Thompson's 1934 "The New Chain-Reference Bible" is a popular study Bible published by B. B. Kirkbride Publishing Co. It was the first of many Study Bibles and contains thousands of topical entries. We have incorporated entries from Thompson's work into our index for subjects not covered in Nave's work.

For those needing to do deeper study on the meaning of the Greek and Hebrew words, Strong's Concordance and numbering system forms the backbone of the tools needed.
