How and why does a retired couple leave pastoring in the USA and become full time in missions work overseas? Our names are Don and Judith Eastham. We pastored for almost 35 years in the city of Corvallis, Oregon. God had been dealing with us for a few years about doing missions work. We visited Uganda in February of 2010 and enjoyed it. Before the General Conference in 2012, we felt definite that God was giving us a change of direction. When we walked into the Global Missions display area, we told some of our friends. Immediately, Missionary to Kenya, Jim Crumpacker, asked if Don would come the following September to teach at the Ministerial Center of Kenya in Nairobi. He agreed. I joined him for only three weeks as I was still working full time in my nursing job. This led to Don going several times to both Kenya and Uganda and staying for 6-12 weeks. I continued working, joining him for a couple of weeks of my vacation time. He resigned the pastorate in Corvallis in the spring of 2014. By the summer of 2015 we both became full time as Associate in Missions Missionaries. It is 2020 and we are still at it.
