Although God encourages us to speak simply and openly to him, there can be times when it is hard to put into words to God what is on our hearts and in our minds. The aim of these prayers are for the reader to feel that they are having a one on one personal conversation with God and to help the reader express their thoughts and to ask for help. The prayers focus on our individual needs; our concerns about specific situations; our hopes; our thankfulness of God's presence and on our spiritual and emotional growth as we journey through life with the Lord as our companion and friend. The prayers cover everyday life situations that we may experience and Christian festivals. The hope is that some of these prayers and reflections provide a source of comfort; joy and support as the reader journeys through life.
