Differentiated book- It has a historical context with research of the time-The purpose of realizing this historical context is to approach the understanding of a historical epoch from the elements provided by the text. Hence the importance of placing the document in context. It is necessary to unravel what its author or authors have said, how it has been said, when, why and where, always relating it to its historical moment. Bede the Venerable (c. 672 - May 27, 735) was a Benedictine monk at Saint Peter's monastery in Wearmouth (now part of Sunderland), and from his attached monastery, Saint Paul, now Jarrow. Both monasteries were founded by Saint Benedict Biscop, their teacher. He is known as a writer and scholar, his best-known work being the Historia ecclesiastica gentis Anglorum (Ecclesiastical History of the Anglo People), which earned him the title of "Father of English History". Beda wrote on many other subjects, from music to religion. In fact, at times, he is considered one more Church Father. Almost everything that is known about his life is found in an annex added by him in his Historia ecclesiastica (v.24). He completed the work in 731 and says he was then in his 59th year of life, giving a probable date of birth in 672-673. He also says that he was born in "the lands of this monastery".
