Belfast 1978. Catholic James falls in love with Protestant Lizzie. Knowing the risks, they keep their identities secret from each other. When both suffer the loss of a family member in violent circumstances, their respective communities whisk each of them to safety overseas - but to different countries, whilst Darry, an ambitious I. R. A. operative, is caught and jailed for one of the killings. Although neither knows it, all three are set on a collision course. The clash of peace against violence is taken to the extreme. The result is an audacious, terror-plot aimed at the heart of the U. K. establishment.
