Letter recognition and sound production are the foundations in the process of learning to read. "My Letter Recognition Book" focuses on the letter recognition part of the process. The book contains 4 pages of activity for each letter of the Alphabet. It focuses on distinguishing each capital letter and then each lowercase letter. Then the book focuses on distinguishing the capital letter from the lowercase letters for each letter of the alphabet. Finally, the focus is on identifying the capital and lowercase for each letter from among a collection of letters. Also included are the letters in different fonts to be used to practice sorting and naming the letters. Remember letter recognition is more than just singing "The Alphabet" song or identifying letters on an Alphabet chart or line. It is more than identifying only the capital letters. Letter Recognition is about identifying all 52 letters of the alphabet randomly and in sequential order.
