Getting to the core meaning of instinct and writing it down in words is a challenge but the author was fairly successful at this. Using vocabulary in a technical way to convey his feelings was done with care so as not to interpret feelings in a false way. Although suffering with mental illness, the author showed courage to verbalize his inner thoughts honestly so as to help those with schizophrenia see pride in being who they are and helps them take on the challenge of life.
