The causation for writing this second edition is pretty self explanatory. Just like a normal influenza virus, which tends to have a slow gestation period followed by a dramatic onset, a few days of misery. Then just when you thought you were getting better as the symptoms fizzle out about a bit. It then comes back for a second bite and knocks you on your ass for another while. SARS-COV-2 has proven to be no exception to this pattern. Just that each cycle has been elongated by the media and what I will call the infodemic. As I write we are now some six months into the year of the virus.
